Laine is having the worst slump I've ever seen. But he was drafted at #2 in a draft that was considered relatively top-heavy and he did score more than 100 goals by the time he hit 20. I mean, sure he might not turn out to be a world beater like Ovechkin (nobody reasonable actually thought he would) but he's still likely to be one of the best goal-scorers of his generation and has a very good chance to be a perennial all-star level winger. I mean, Hubyduby is a nice player but he's not in Laine's realm of potential.
