While we do not know which prospects would have been traded to the Dodgers, they should deem themselves lucky that this trade fell through. By trading for Betts the Dodgers gave up prospects (let's just call Verdugo that) for this year's WS contention.
Both Pederson and Stripling are projected to bring substantial WAR this year. The Dodgers will need just that for their ultimate goal; trading both away for prospects would have diminished the positive impact of acquiring Betts. If Stripling has another good year, his value might even go up.
