The only way he leaves the Jets is if he wants out. His value after his first 2 full seasons with back to back 30+ goal seasons is pretty high but his position would mean that the 2C or 1st pair D are pretty well off the table. I would expect an Top D prospect NHL ready and picks.

Not sure why the Jets would trade him. He’s PP/PK and good at ES. Kid doesn’t have the explosion factor that you get with a guy like Laine where it only takes one shift to change the game. However I see no reason why he isn’t consistently a 60+ point winger who contributes in most facets of the game. Imo I would love rather have him than Laine.
