1) Nikita Kucherov wins his 2'd Art Ross in McDavid Era:

- 128 Points in 2018-19, 144 Points in 2023-24!

2) And joins Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr & McDavid in '100 Assists Club'. And becomes first ever winger to reach 90 & 100 Assists:

- The previous record of the most assists in a season by a winger was 87. No winger has ever reached 90 assists. Kuch has now has 100!

3) Finishes 54 Points ahead of his closest teammate:

- Kuch scored 144 Points this season. That's 54 Points more than his closest teammate Brayden Point (90).

A little bit too early to say that he "wins 2nd Art Ross". Even though highly unlikely he still can be outscored by McJesus and chickpea pasta consumer.
Historical feat nonetheless.

only needs six, due to goals, but yes, ultimate jinx thread.
Good point, forgot about the goal tiebreaker. You know he’s going to be motivated to do it in front of his home crowd, where he has been way better all year, with a tired Oilers team coming off a back-to-back and who may not play their starters much.

Let this be yet another point of proof - superstar players produce regardless of what the team around them is doing. This is Kucherov's best season on the worst Lightning team he's been on since 2017.
It's not like Hedman/Point/Stamkos are nonames.
They factored in 119 points which is 83% of his total points (w/o them only 25 points).
Almost any outstanding results supported by super talents.

Point being made is that in 2020 the Lightning were the second best team in the regular season and in 2024 they're tied for 12th, yet Kucherov scored at noticeably higher pace this year. No reason to expect that other than superstars produce at will.

He also has fifty-four more points than his second-place teammate.

And 25 points without them. It's elite support with many trophies.

Funny how those same “elite support” players are routinely dismissed as inferior to the likes of Draisaitl and Rantanen when the task at hand isn’t diminishing Kucherov’s accomplishments. All we hear is “McD and Drai are the two best players in the league” or “MacK and Rants are both top-three players in the league”, followed by “Point is a product of Kucherov and nowhere near Draisaitl’s/Rantanen’s level.” But now Kuch’s historic season doesn’t count because he’s somehow a product of those same “inferior” players who we are constantly told are a product of Kuch. Predictable and pathetic.

MacKinnon with 2 points in the first period, 0 points in the second, Edmonton resting 8 top players. MacKinnon will need 4 points in the third period to win the Art Ross.

Wow, so you're telling me that his linemates and guys on his PP unit factored in on the majority of his points? That's crazy
