Love to add Tiffoli as well. Rust number 2 pick and need to trade olli as well for maybe a 3 way deal.

Ignoring the fact that both Kovy and Crosby hate each other, I still think the pens should/would amd will stay away from him. The Pens are the 2nd oldest team in the league (Cullen doesn’t help) and adding a 35 yo to the mix is not what they should be doing.

Could a mutually terminated contract count against the cap? Not saying this would help or not, just curious

To Pittsburgh: Kovalchuk @ 5mil
To Los Angeles: Rust and Sprong

Pens add legit scoring winger for Brassard, Kings add speed, youth, and potential.

I won't even read the other comments to this. Pass from Pittsburgh. Something about adding a 35-year old guy on the decline for that for the next two years after this is a bad idea.

John Stevens as head coach

13 GP: 4 G - 7A with 35 shots on goal

Played on the 1st and 2nd line with roughly 20 minutes of ice time per game.

Willie Desjardins as head coach

11 GP: 1 G - 2 A with 17 shots on goal

Playing on the 3rd and 4th line with roughly 13 minutes of ice time per game, and dropping. He's played less than 10 minutes the last two games.

So when you guys are looking at his stats, keep in mind that those three points all came in one game against Anaheim right after Stevens got fired where Desjardins kept the lineup the way Stevens had them set. Which ultimately means Kovalchuk has put up absolutely no points for the team since the coaching change.
