How the Canes are using their goalies is questionable but it works...

From Dec 10 to Dec 20, Koochie won 5 consecutive games out 6 played (1 W from Raanta) finishing that streak with a Win.

Since then, he has not played a single game (2 weeks) and Raanta have won all the games since then.

Why would they decide that it was enough wins from Koochie.

Now that he won player of the month, weird to have him sit on the bench.

Was going to pick him up in my fantasy league during that streak, thank god I didn't

He got banged up in the win over the Devils on 12/20, they have simply been taking it easy with him and Raanta (until last game) played tremendously in his absence so there was no reason to rush him back. Especially with the games very spread out the last few weeks.

he tweaked something late in the win vs New Jersey in Raleigh that was his last start, and Raanta was finally 100% after an injury of his own. They simply stuck with the hot hand (Raanta had 2 shutouts over that stretch) while Koochie was on the mend, I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the net tonight honestly.

They’re giving us almost no information on what’s actually going on with Freddie. The success of Raanta and Koochie has taken some pressure off the timetable for Freddie’s return, but it will be interesting to see how things play out if all three are healthy at some point. Most likely, Koochie goes back to the AHL for playing time rather than sitting around as backup.

But, there’s also a chance that Freddie comes back and doesn’t perform well… if that happens, I could him being fed a bunch of late-season opportunities to play his way back into the starter’s crease (thus burning through their cushion in the standings, if necessary) because it would create a playoff conundrum if he was the clear-cut #3. At this point they seem to be focusing all their decisions on April.

You're a monk.....shouldn't you have a vow of celibacy that precludes you from getting koochie?

Freddie seems to have been back on the ice for a couple of weeks now but as you said there is an info blackout on his status.

I've heard of MGTOW, but rolling with an Antti-Kootchie tandem makes me finally understand why everyone calls them jerks.
