Kings's Press Release of 4K Scoreboard

Sacramento, Calif. – Today, the Sacramento Kings and Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company, announced the NBA’s first-ever 4K ultra HD center-hung video board will premiere at Golden 1 Center, the world-class indoor sports and entertainment venue scheduled to open this October in downtown Sacramento.

Totalling over 6,100 square feet, the center-hung video board will feature the largest screens in the League and is over seven times larger than the current video board, KingsVision, at Sleep Train Arena. The four-screen display will include two sideline screens that are over five times larger than the screens currently in use. Utilizing the latest in LED technology, totaling over 32 million pixels across the four screens, fans will have crystal clear views from anywhere in the arena along with immediate replays in 4K ultra HD – four times 1080 HD resolution. Spanning over 84 feet, the total length of the video board will extend nearly baseline to baseline – longer than the average length of an 18-wheeler semi-truck. The ribbon featured atop the video board will be 6 feet 3 inches and the main screens will be over 44 feet wide and over 24 feet tall.

“Our partnership with Panasonic will revolutionize how fans consume the game – giving them an unmatched viewing experience from the moment they walk into Golden 1 Center,” said Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé. “We are proud to deliver the world’s latest technology and provide a transformative experience to the best fans in the NBA.”

“We are thrilled to be the official display technologies partner of the Sacramento Kings,” said Jim Doyle, President, Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company. “There are endless possibilities to help enhance the guest experience throughout the arena and we look forward to delivering the most cutting-edge technology to impress and amaze all who enter Golden 1 Center.”

Panasonic products will be integrated throughout the downtown Sacramento arena to enrich the fan experience with the latest interactive display technologies.
•Two custom LED screens, standing over 25 feet tall, will welcome fans as they enter through the arena’s main doors, featuring fan-generated content, event information and more.
•Over 600 HD video displays will be showcased throughout Golden 1 Center concourses, clubs and suites so fans don’t miss a second of the action on the court.
•Over 1,500 feet of LED ribbon boards will be featured in the arena bowl providing fans with real-time information, including advanced statistics and aggregated social media content.

This Legacy Partnership, including the state-of-the-art center-hung video board, further reflects Vivek Ranadivé’s “NBA 3.0” philosophy which calls for providing cutting-edge technology to enhance the fan experience. Recently, the team revealed a report detailing how Golden 1 Center will be the fastest, most connected indoor sports and entertainment venue in the world – creating a seamless, frictionless and intuitive experience for fans.

Well, the Kings are certainly got some money to spend.

I mean, have you seen something ludicrous?

AT&T Center got a new scoreboard this Summer. It wasn't as large as this one will be, but I really didn't think much of the news til I saw it and it was def worth it.
