It was 20 years ago to this day, Monday, May 17, 1993, when the Kings appeared in their very first Campbell Conference Finals game, losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 4-1 at the historic Maple Leaf Gardens.

What's significant about the game was the hit on Doug Gilmour by Marty McSorley, and the subsequent fight against Wendel Clark. The fight was said to change the momentum of the series in favor of the Kings as the Kings would win the next two games. In my opinion, that series still stands today as the most physical and brutal playoff series I have ever witnessed.
