KHL's HC Donbass' arena burned, robbed by armed 'terrorists

Here's another example of force majeure. Not impacting playing, but will be a cost to "get things back to where they were" in time for season start.

I do have to wonder what minimum requirements the KHL has for insurance for such things.

Very likely a politically invoked provocation by Donbass owner himself after reading his statements and having in mind he's a close friend of a known DNR foe and another billionaire whos is now having political ambitions.

Whoever is responsible...this arena fire might well be the coup de grace on any KHL hockey in Ukraine next season...as the KHL has been fearing this for some time.

Its a nice team and a nice little arena. It would be shame to lose them. Lets hope the situation stabilizes soon enough. Loosing one season is nothing in terms of long term peace and stability of the region and the team.

Poprad (City) offered own arena to Donbass for 1 euro for whole season.. so if there will be still security issues and KHL allow it, they can play there.
