AA has a budget given to him from Liberty Media. His championship window is open now. Why wait around for him to recover and see if he’s any good when he finally returns? We didn’t get a stud in return but if he isn’t that good then we just cut him.

Ultimately, these moves are to set us up in hot stove to spend

My guess is Wright was very likely going to be non-tendered as a potential arbitration award would have been in the millions due to his 2022 season.

Also pitching market is extremely deep this off-season. braves should be able to bolster their rotation pretty easily
