It's pretty much all about his gear, the tweaks and options he has on them. Likes darker colored gear more than white, Brians Genetic 2 pads, keeps the knee open in the pad like Carey Price, standard blocker, only has extra finger slip because he uses the stick with a trigger hold, uses extra padding in the catcher, helmet painting by Miska Designs at the university, the butterfly in the helmet comes from his fianceé's family (doesn't go into particulars beyond that), the one to two pairs of gloves and one pads on the university level is kind of too few for his liking and hopes to have three or maybe four sets of gloves because of the wear and tear. Did like the state of hockey ethos in Minnesota, expects same in Toronto.
