Stan has a better idea than we do what the cap will be like next year. This had to be done. This is a new era. They completely earned those extensions. The good news is, is that one is 34 and the other is 33 when these finish up.

If the speculation isn't right this team is losing a lot of talent. Every $1 mil counts at this point. You are telling me they couldn't take $1 mil less per year each? They took this team for all they could, good for them. I hope there are no rumors about Kane *****ing about not having a good 2nd line C in the future though.

They better have no movement clauses because if they don't and they falter they might not be finishing as Hawks. They just showed that their ultimate loyalty is to the dollar. They just fell in my estimation.

It's arguable Toews could have pulled 11.5+ on a cap hit as a UFA, but probably a team thing that they had the same cap hit.
