The only way to heal an injury is to feed it, is what I say. He'll come back at 240 pounds -- 10 added to both shoulders.

Yes, it always does, unless he is overdoing it or not stretching.

"Yes, it always does."? As in yes, it always has a positive effect? "Unless he is overdoing it...." Um, so it's not always positive? Lol Pick one. So you admit that it's not always positive, making your first statement, irrelevant.

Well your initial statement couldn't be more wrong. Tell that to the knucklehead at the gym who overworks his dorsi, teres, subscapularis and triceps and can no longer operationally rotate their arms with full range of motion.

Tell that to the knuckleheads who think "bigger is better" for say fighting or MMA and sacrifice speed, flexibility and range of motion.

No, adding muscle is not always a "positive". And the positive extent of muscle addition is also relatively dependent upon your frame and skeleton.

I'm sorry, but your initial statement is completely contrarian in its essence. Which you actually admit in the very next line. But ESPECIALLY in terms of athletics which require specific skills and abilities that are not all mass dependent.

If you want to run marathons for instance, it's completely antithetical to your goal.

See a ton of jacked golfers? Divers? It can even effect baseball players negatively, especially pitchers, but also in regard to swinging a bat. And it certainly can have negative effects on things like skating, shooting, stick handling.....
