Wallinder wins 4th round.

Interesting that Wallinder did rise 1 spot in a month.

#1 LD - Simon Edvinsson 86.8% (6th overall, 1st round, 2021 draft)
#2 C - Marco Kasper 80% (8th overall, 1st round, 2022 draft)
#3 C - Nate Danielson 68.0% (9th overall, 1st round, 2023 draft)
#4 LD - William Wallinder 35.7% (32nd overall, 2nd round 2020 draft)

Elmer. He's going to be huge for us, both literally and figuratively.

I like what I see from the remaining prospects. It's difficult to choose, and it is not because of a barren talent pool.

Wallinder over Cossa? Gentlemen, please. Let’s have some class.

Wallinder will be a full timer by 2024. He had a great season in the SHL and was voted top U22 player there. Cossa isn’t even a regular AHLer yet.

I voted Mazur. Can and will score goals, plays great defensively, has good wheels.

Talking about upside , there's no one in organization with higher upside than ASP.

You and many others are vastly overrating ASP. There’s a reason he was the 4th defenseman off the board.

I’ll be the first to spam the shit out f icehockeygifs on this forum with ASP highlights, but the kid profiles as a power play specialist. You’ll be sorely disappointed that he’s going to take as long as Wallinder to make it to the NHL.

Went ASP. I think he could be a higher end powerplay quarterback if he hits. As I said before I see WW being a middle pairing good at everything but excels at nothing middle pairing guy. And Mazur I don’t see his offense translating to the NHL level to take him out of being a bottom 6 winger as his ceiling. Elmer could be a Franzen one day but he’s too much of a wildcard me to put him above ASP, WW and Cossa.

I honestly just view Cossa as too much of a wild card. I think that there's huge upside there, but I still don't feel comfortable projecting him at the NHL level. So for me he comes after Wallinder, ASP and Mazur because they also have top of the lineup upside with a much easier projection for me.

Only if you pretend Edvinsson doesn't exist.
ASP not even close as good as Edvinsson, but his hockey IQ is excellent. No guarantee he became NHL player, his floor is not us high but he has very high potential, let's see what he could do in 2 years

Those small kids just need more year elsewhere, let him play at Sweden like Wallinder for 2 extra years. Kronwall is there and they can do that development together. That's definitely the best place to be for any our def currently.

Wallinder 20 , has different issues than ASP, still could make NHL this season. It's all depends how desperate he is to play against the best. ASP needs to get stronger and faster, no , a lot more stronger and faster. Buchelnikov going to be 20, fast, but needs to be a lot stronger, at the moment he is not really KHL ready, My guess 2 more years before he could be NHL ready. Same with ASP , he needs like 3-4 years to make it to Red Wings .

Seabass again. Add Cleveland so I can watch the ensuing meltdown on this board.

I like Lombardi and all but I don't think he (or Gibson, Augustine ) should be jumping AlJo in line.

ASP is far ahead from any of these other guys in terms of potential. Except maybe Cossa.

I went with Mazur do to primarily his readiness to making the team but I definitely can understand why others would have a case for the 5 spot.

Mazur is a closer to NHL ready prospect and a good one, but the ceiling of ASP makes me take him in a prospect poll. I think he has the potential to be a dynamic threat from the blue line. Cossa's potential puts him in the mix and I like Lombardi but he is more magic bean at this point.

contrasting the post above. Cossa is pretty overrated at this point, goalies do take longer to develop but i’ll refrain from any harsh comments and reserve judgment until after this season and see how he does in the A.

That said I’d put mazur and Lombardi above him
