I know that, but why not just play Dineen or someone who might actually turn into a player.

If true it was a mistake. I think BA signed him for his size. I like size as well, but someone who can actually play the game.

BA signed him for his size, and gave him two years at that price point because we've got to meet the cap floor somehow.

His size for sure. But these types are rare nowadays, especially in free agency. And most of these types (Brown included) have close to zero puck skills. We saw that with Lyubushkin over the past few years.

Overall, it just really reinforces that we need to continue to build out our D. Ideally we can grab another first rounder and add one this summer. Long term right now we have:

Moser - Mayo
Valimaki - Soderstrom
Kolyachonok - Lamoureux

Something like that. Both sides of D need at least one more big piece. Can we draft one more and get something promising in the Chychrun return as well?

Armstrong wanted to build a big, tough team which sounded good for a while. I was excited that we could now protect our smaller, more talented players but that has not really panned out. I think we have lost every scrap we have been in so far, so having a tough team never happened and in the process we have a lousy defense. But we should be on the train for 1OA so if that happens it will be worth it.
