Making the playoffs means something because it gives you the chance to win it all. It shows that you're far, far closer to being a cup contender than the bottomfeeders. Slap yourself again.
Our one Finals appearance was due to Pronger and how a half-decent group rallied around him and Roloson. This is not an indicator of organizational success. It wasn't sustained before or after that one season. Slap yourself a third time.
You have no problem winding the clock back 9 seasons to trumpet the Oilers, but not 10 seasons to trumpet the Flames having the exact same amount of success. Try backhanding yourself this time.
The Tambellini and Eakins hires are both stains on this org, as is nearly every (non-first round draft) acquisition on the roster today. Glove slap.
Prospect depth? AHL PPG stats mean nothing at the NHL level. Counting your chickens before they get made into a green omelet. Hundred hand slap.
