Well guys I though id bring this info to you guys because I've been very interested in this kid since his return from injury. From watching his highlights and how he's been playing he's looking like a very interesting and key player in are prospects. Yes he is defense but he's also A LHD. I think if he keeps progressing the way he's been, I could really see him as top 4 dman. With that said I still don't think he'll break are top 4. I see him as a third pairing dman for us with Ellis in the future. Ekholm I feel will be the odd man out of are current d core when Diaby come to the big leagues either next year or year after. So in the future whether next year or the year after are d could look like this:

Josi - Weber
MDZ - Jones
Diaby- Ellis
Bartley/Bietto

Don't know about you guys but that looks like a nasty core for years to come. So with all that said Poile just needs to stop with his defense minded antics and get us some scoring forwards

I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves if we're assuming someone still playing in the Q is automatically gonna surpass Ekholm by next year. Still, he's a giant so if he continues to develop well down there and has any hockey sense, I'm confident the Preds can coach him into something good.
