no..we do not want to sit and what for Michkov to arrive with the slop we have right now..we want to see them show they are ACTUALLY REBUILDING and have some better pieces to play along with Michkov instead of the slop they are sending out there

the keepers should be Frost, Brink, Bee, Foerster, maybe Tippett..not sure it matters on the defensive side but York, Sanheim, and Drysdale(only because they'd look realy bad trading him after thew Cutter debocle)

It’s not surprising they just hire more like minded men. The Flyers have now had two “owners” under Scott, and Hilferty that have let the inmates run the asylum. Control needs to be taken back at some point, and I haven’t seen any sign Comcast is willing to do it.

Because they didn’t make the moves they should have. Laughton should have been dealt. Seeler should have been dealt. They shouldn’t have traded for Johnson, or signed Staal.

The Flyers are a pimple on Comcast’s ass, they don’t see it and rarely notice it. Unless something drastic happens: a 50% drop in tv ratings, or average attendance plummets to the point that the building is half empty, they won’t change a thing.

I did get some "try me" towards Briere vibes from Tortorella in today's press conference to show that he's the boss but i'm also heavily biased that Torts is the Devil.

"I'm totally in until Danny says get the hell out of here," "you've got the wrong coach here then if we're gonna be hugging" and "those are the decisions my management has to make if they think I made a mistake and show me the door so be it."

Torts is above DB and he knows it.

Last summer they said they needed more 10-12 goal PK specialists. You know, 4th liners. That's exactly who they went out and got. Then they traded for a bottom pair dman at the deadline. They think a super-4th line sort of player in Laughton is so indispensable they cannot move him. Cates and Poehling, who are 4th liners anywhere else, have spent considerable time being team darlings.

When they needed to win the last game, they benched skilled players to emphasize their grinders more.

What else do you need? This is who they've been for many years now. They're even more open about it now.

None of that says they want to build the team from the 4th line out. That is just incompetence.

The brought in GH and Poehling on short term deals. Neither of whom fit the 10-12 goal pk specialist (edit: GH did) . both on short term deals to fill a spot that has been a sore spot for years. the 4th line. Not what I would have done. though not terrible.

Who would you have signed instead of those deals to help out the top 6 considering what they spent on those 2?
