Sharks never should’ve let him walk. One of the worst decisions in franchise history

Nah, the franchise hasn't been a playoff team since 2019. The problem was that the Sharks loaded up on bad long term contracts and the bill came due.

The Sharks weren't going to win so they needed to move all of their older players and rebuild.

For a guy who made his bones deflecting pucks in front of the net, he’s had a remarkably long career for living in the dirty area.

Maybe, but the most underrated part of his game is his leadership, and it was sorely missing when he left. The decline shouldn’t have been so steep so quickly.

Congratulations on 1,000 points Pav's and what a fitting way to get it. That redirect was nasty!

Just another beating for the dead horse that keeps claiming hockey is totally different now and today's players are just sooo much bigger and stronger and faster and bionic superheroes of some kind.. unless they six million dollar manned Pavelski too, I guess.

Tied for 3rd- should pass Francis

despite being in his late 30’s, he has a chance to follow up his best season (pts wise) with his second best season. He needs just 3 pts in final 2 games to match his best SJ season

What a great FA signing. Pavelski / Hintz / Robertson have been great the last 2 seasons

Sure, but would rather have a decent shot one of the top 4 players in this draft or be languishing around the 10-15 pick range. Hanging on the treadmill does notthing to get the Sharks close to being a legitimate cup contender.

The Sharks have needed to accummulate high picks so they can build their prospect pool and build a core. Even with Pavelski the Sharks aare non -playoff team with lower picks.

Keeping Joe only made sense if the Sharks were a legitimate Cup contender.

I think they had one more cup run with him. That year he left was just a disaster with injuries and depth issues.
