My money is on him getting a hefty payday and settling down in San Diego, with an up-and-coming team and pretty low pressure. If he wins there, legacy further cemented. If not, then the failure was on the team decisions made before he arrived and he has his ring already.

I know Maddon is up there in age, but 5 years isn't a long time to have the success they had and decide that it was enough

End of a run for Maddon and the Cubs. He got them a World Series so all is good there. He's 65 so I wonder if his managerial career could be over.
