I saw him play in Colorado and didnt understand why he was just given away. Though hes not really "still young."

I think he was too one-dimensional of a player, and at 29, its not like his defense will improve at all.

I would only be interested if it was a two way contract, and then he might not be interested in that.

Changed to speculation until OP can offer something concrete about Ottawa being interested in the player.

Exciting player to watch but he is a bit lazy and soft, not a guy you would want on a bottom line. He scores a lot though but he isn't great defensively.

Yes, but the samething was said about Turris, and many others that came to Ottawa. With proper coaching I really do think that he could be molded to play defensive. I agree sign him to a 2 way contract so that if it does not pan out there is a loop hole to demote.
