So what's the story with this Ducharme? Is he a good coach? I looked at his coaching record in the Q and it looks lke a mixed bag some real good and some real bad seasons.

surprised Ducharme would want to be assistant coach and not head coach in Laval

It's not like its a lesser role in an organization, Assistant NHL coaches and AHL coaches are viewed similarly for HC positions.

Plus, Ducharme knows Drouin well, which might be useful for getting more out of him than a PP specialist.

was hoping he would be assistant GM and Laval Gm so they get rid of Carriere. He did a terrible job with the players he brought in for Laval and was hoping he would be gone but guess that's not the case.

At least we have a guy in the organization who has a future coaching in the league.

In the past we would've probably had Sly or another recycled coach like Carbonneau as next in line after Julien.

Daigneault was a decent Dman on the last cup winning team. No need to attack him personally. I have met him and he is a solid guy.
