What I don't like about this deal is that it may shoot the Habs in the foot long term. Sekac chose us out of how many other teams when he was an unsigned/undrafted player. This deal makes us less appealing for those types of players in the future.

This is where I really start to dislike Therrien. His misuse of Sekac is what brought the team to trading him. Im willing to bet Sekac flourishes for the Ducks. Dumb move to trade a player before giving him a real shot.

I loved Sekac, but I REALLY LOVE DSP

Good deal IMO. Something of a lateral move, but I think DSP has a higher ceiling and plays a tougher game.
