Oh man. Great song
edit: it's actually amazing how many death threats that girl received in the wake of this
It's Twitter. Anyone can get death threats on Twitter. We're a lot more sensitive to that kind of stuff four years later, even the subtle "I don't wish harm on you but I wouldn't cry if you got hit by a bus" is seen as much less of a joking matter than it was when this song came out.
Back in my day, you had to get your death threats right to your face (and as a casino dealer, I got me plenty; getting your first was a rite of passage). Nowadays, anyone can just send out 100 an hour, and most of those are from trolls sending them out to the people you're arguing with.
But seriously though. I can think of a hundred adjectives to describe this song; "great" ain't nowhere close to it
Perreault-Scheifele-Ehlers were pretty dynamic earlier in the season. They have intimidating speed. They also were among the best possession lines in the NHL.
From the PGT thread
Yes I realize that but they were getting third line minutes and third line matchups earlier in the season. Ehlers was being sheltered. It was Maurice putting him in a position to succeed.
To continue sheltering Ehlers you would be dropping Scheifele & Perreault's ice time.
To unshelter Ehlers you increase his ice time and force him to play against tougher competition.
The matchups that each line gets are part of the equation.
meh. I'd take a goal a game from a line over an extra minute or 2 of ice time. That line looked great when they were being sheltered...
I think the real problem was the Burmi Lowry Stafford line being a major liability on the ice for 18 minute per game
Yup. They've split them up to different lines too. Like saying, we don't want these three on the ice together, at the same time, ever again.
wont surprise me at all if they go with Hutch again today and then Helle tmrw. Goalies are a weird breed and that would screw with Hutch if he doesn't play today. Id assume Helle will play one of these games so the safest bet is to play him tmrw. Hutch is rested up and there is no reason for him not to start. Having said that if Hutch craps the bed today and Helle plays well tmrw, then you go with the hot hand for the following game
Basically in a nut shell Jets will give these 2 their audition today and tmrw to see who takes the reins for the next couple of months IMO.
I feel its a win/win for Jets fans cause I guarantee Hutch feels the pressure and knows that if he has an off game today that there is a stud sitting on the bench waiting to get his chance. He knows that the hockey world is eagerly anticipating Helle's debut and I imagine that Hutch wants to make the world wait longer until he plays multiple games. I am predicting a strong game by Hutch today
