The Blues use the whole ice and spread their players. One or two quick passes and the Blues get a great scoring chance. Play man to man to fix the problem.

Ehlers got rocked pretty good, might be a reason he ain't seeing a lot of ice-time right now.

Pretty sure he missed half the 2nd. Anything else is just Mo not rolling that line. He’s basically running two lines as your go to guys and two 4th lines. But they’re not 4th liners....

This will certainly be an interesting 3rd, but if this goes south, Mo is likely going with it.

Wheeler and Scheifele have had moments this game but hardly deserve to be one of the only two lines playing. The Hayes line and a Little line have both been more dangerous than them in limited minutes.

Instead of taking a satellite picture of a cosmic body with a force and density that light cannot escape, they just took a picture with their iPhone of me bending over while watching the Jets game.

Even light cannot overcome the clench.

Quick thoughts:

• Two weak goals for Hellebuyck but you can look at both clips and find something else that a Jets player did miserably. All of them can do better.

• Blues entry into our zone and their our neutral zone play is causing way too many goals or quality chances against. Murat pointed out the low-to-high aspect of it but Blues are getting them within seconds of zone entry, and they're doing it right between the faceoff circles too. Biggest need to fix right now.

• Absolutely pathetic response for the team as a whole when the Blues second goal was scored as they practically allowed the Blues to walk all over them. San Jose just came back from 3-0 to tie it 3-3 within a period and they have Martin f***ing Jones as their goaltender for the whole season (Aaron Dell now). Players need to step up or shut up (and us too) about puck bouncing the wrong way.

• Hayes line - not good. Scheifele line is also yikes. Little's line the only one generating clean offense at the moment and Lowry's line doing their best to keep O'Reilly's line at bay.

Team is staying afloat on power plays at the moment (surprise how Byfuglien makes such a huge difference in one game). If they can get back to the first 5 minutes in the second period, they should be in the clear. Still, while not wholly looking promising, nothing is guaranteed.

Don’t agree with the Hayes line necessarily. But Little and Laine need more time. Little is a gamer in the playoffs.
