Waiting while other teams make up games is interesting. Despite our placement in today's standings, I don't hate this. The Jets control their fate.

Wins at the beginning of the season are worth the same as at the end of the year. Even psychologically it could balance out - more early wins = less stress for (some) fans, more late wins = thinking we're on a roll. Agree, technically you are absolutely right.

A win always brings the endorphins, in my case, but nonetheless one can also consider the context of a tight standings race vs. dipping the team's collective toes in the lake, as games at the beginning of the year tend to reflect. Again, IMO.

8-4-1 should put us safely in a playoff spot. Sports club puts the Jets at a 91.5% chance at making the playoffs if we finish 8-4-1. Another big day on the scoreboard with LV at Calgary, Minny at Anaheim and the Blue Jackets at Vancouver.

The good thing about it is the Jets are basically playing playoff hockey now and for the last 13 games . If we make it in we should be ready .
