Wouldn't mind although I'd wait to see if Buff is returning before getting rid of another first (and probably more added to that)
There's no such thing as rental+1 year. That +1 year is what makes him not a rental.Dude, we're playing above our heads and trading what could easily be a lottery pick for a rental+one year would be an awful idea. Do you watch hockey?
Problem is we are not talking about a top 4 D. e are talking about an experience #2 D.Petry is still signed next year so he isn't a short term asset. Trading a late 1st round pick for 2 seasons of an experienced top-4 D who can play as well as Petry is good value. Look at the Muzzin trade
Winnipeg needs D. You're not winning the cup with Beaulieu, Kulikov and Poolman being so high on your depth chart
no chance habs are giving up petry for a late 1st. NoneJeff Petry to Winnipeg for their first in 2020?
The Jets are doing well this season despite losing Byfuglien and having an average roster on defense. Petry could shore up their blueline as he's reliable in every situation and can produce points. The Jets have just enough cap space to fit him in and would improve their chance at the cup.
mete, fleury, chiarot, petry are not scrubs...two are young with tons of potential, habs need one more stabilizing dmenmtl has garbage LD defensmen and now you want to deploete the Right hand side.
good luck making the playoffs this year or next with a 35yr old webber and a bunch of scrubs
Not a player on that list that you would build a team around.mete, fleury, chiarot, petry are not scrubs...two are young with tons of potential, habs need one more stabilizing dmen

No one said there was a player you build a team around.Someone with a lack of hockey knowledge call all those players scrubs. Not a player on that list that you would build a team around.
