Are you sure? I'm reading an article from when he was hired by the Crunch, and he was brought in as a forwards/PP guy.

He talks about liking the Xs and Os of hockey, which God knows we need.

Todd Richards will improve the defense for sure and I think one day he replaces cooper if things fall apart next season

Well, we brought him in and suddenly our PP went from one of the worst in the league to one of the best. If he does something similar to our D/PK, I'm just not sure what Cooper's doing at that point.

From what I remember, according to Columbus fans, Richards was not that good at the defensive structure of the game. I may be wrong though.
