Getting rid of Thomas is addition by subtraction.

I don't think any Broncos fans miss him, that's for sure. He's entirely one dimensional - high jump ball catches in the endzone.

He's not even good at that anymore. Is not explosive at all, just a shell of his former self.

I imagine he probably splits snaps with Sims because he sure as hell ain't a #1 TE anymore.

If they re-sign Sims.

Iffy on the trade. Gase being his OC from Denver is the only thing that makes me not dislike the trade. Talent is/was there. Can Gase get him to play like he did in Denver is another thing.

So did this trade happen or not? Seeing claims it's currently on hold pending negotiation issues with Thomas on a new contract?

No deals can be "official" until March 9th....I could be off by plus/minus a week, but the official date trades can be executed isn't until March.


Technically, someone COULD swoop in and grab either Alberts or Thomas still......A few years back Emmanuel Sanders had a deal with KC and it fell apart by the day FA began.
