Speculation: Jaroslav Halak

Ya, I kinda like Halak, but he did have a pretty bad season. Some teams have a blueline no better than NYI, so there's no guarantee he ends up in a better situation.

I still think Halak ends up in Carolina as an insurance policy against Scott Darling.

The problem with NYI was that they literally had no system. I've seen high school teams playing more organized hockey.

While their defense is not the greatest, the personnel was not the reason they were so poor, it was lack of system.

I think buffalo may target him if they dont try and trade for a platoon goalie with Ullmark (ie Tristan Jarry). Hed be a solid vet presence

i don't think he will successfully trade for a goalie

The Canes have a goalie that would be really easy to trade for

The big thing that I noticed when he was with the Blues was that he was very fragile mentally. Elliot could shake off a bad goal, but Halak seemed to let in one bad one and then go into a funk.

I think Hutton would be a better goalie as a #2 than Halak for most teams.
