Good value but wish it had 3-4 years worth of term. Kinda surprised the contract isn't around $3.5 million honestly.

I assume if he has another good year then we can expect a raise and more term considering he will still be a RFA after this year

I love Janny but I also love this deal. I thought he'd get 3+mil. He gets to show he can step up for even more minutes (and points), but we are protected in case that degenerative knee condition comes back. He's shown that it has had ZERO effect on him, but you never know.

He's also one deceptively fast skater with a really weird stride, but he can get around people.

Underrated player

Absolutely. Love him and Faksa - both seriously underrated players because they have yet to put up eye-catching stats but really versatile players who impact the whole ice. In my mind, the points will come for both. Janmark is easily talented enough to put up 50 points.

Shapiro just had a Tweet that he thinks Dallas may still be a bit unsure with his injury . SInce he's still RFA next year i guess both sides agreed for another shortterm show me contract.
