COVID-19 Protocol Updates
Forward Teddy Blueger has been removed from protocol and will not play today. He skated this morning.
Injury Updates/Roster Moves
The Pittsburgh Penguins have made the following roster moves, it was announced today by general manager Ron Hextall:
  • Forwards Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust have been activated off of injured reserve.
  • Forwards Kasper Bjorkqvist and Radim Zohorna, as well as goaltender Louis Domingue have been recalled from the taxi squad.
  • Forward Jason Zucker has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 19, 2021.
  • Forward Brian Boyle's status has been changed to non-roster (personal reasons).

I was hoping we’d get a surprise removal of Geno from LTIR…oh well..[sad face]….

Pens haven’t played in two weeks..I think they’ll be rusty and get down early and likely get down too far to win this game…oh well

It's been so long since the Penguins have played hockey that Ovechkin somehow became a better player than Crosby.
