It's a shame, JVR appeared to be in the best shape of his career and then this kind of fluke injury disrupts his season. If anyone think he will come back and just continue to score, you set yourselves up for disappointment.

It's a finger, as long it's not a complex fracture, he should be back in a month.

Meanwhile, he can skate with a cast on his hand, so he shouldn't be out of shape, it's not a lower body injury where it'll take weeks to get his legs back after he's cleared to practice.
