What does he get as ufa. Can't imagine he's making himself a fortune this playoff

I always found Neal to be a historically weak playoff performer. You consider the teams he has been on and the talent he has played with....

He'll get like 5 or 6 years at about $5.5-$6 million. He didn't have the regular season that guys like Kane or JVR had, so he'll fall a little bit below them. I actually expect him to re-sign with Vegas.

similar goals and points pace, and avg games/year in the last 3 seasons to E.Kane. Kane is 4 years younger. I'd estimate 4-5 years 6-6.5M for the Real Deal Neal

I know Vegas is potentially about to win a Cup, but it's not like their roster is just overflowing with talented scorers. They still need him, in my opinion. 25 goals doesn't come easy.

5x5 is a reasonable starting point.

Vegas needs to retain him for insurance in the event that some of these career-year guys take a step back next year.

James Neal is much more of a known quantity, especially in the regular season.

A team needs to offer 6-7 years 6.75m (at least) to outbid the Knights. Hopefully he stays & takes a slight discount around 5-5.5m at 4 years.
