They act this way because Bylsma allows it, I don't know what's said amongst players in the dressing room but there are players out there that wouldn't tolerate that from teamates. Yeah, then your 40 goal winger is in the box or suspended or doesn't get favourable calls because he's building a reputation. All because he's a brat throwing a tantrum, there's no control or purpose to it, he's just lashing out.

It needs to be handled because it will bite them in the ass and he's not a player you just wash your hands of when their reputation becomes too bad. So ****ing handle him acting like a child. Almost the entire team is prone to hissy fits now.

You take the bad with the good with elite players. Neal's going to commit stupid, dangerous penalties once in a while. He's also going to score ~40g a season, has one of the best shots in the NHL, and has phenomenal chemistry with Geno.

It's the same thing with Geno and Sid, albeit to a lesser extent. Both are prone to idiotic, frustration-driven penalties and dumb stuff after the whistle. The three of them are all hot heads, but they're fantastic players. You bring in a coach who can reel 'em in a bit in terms of temper, and gets them focused more on the offensive aspects of the game. You don't trade guys like Sid, Geno or Neal.
