It's crazy how some fans drool over Hextall, but he signed these AWFUL contracts with Voracek, JVR, Weise, and refused to fire Hakstol - a joke coach.

Anyhow Jake is a decent support player who is grossly overpaid. Flyers will have to trade a 2nd or 3rd next offseason for SEA to take Voracek and I'm totally fine with with that.

You dont even need to know their posting history. You just have to read the post and know theres no way you could actually think that to be true.

Scoring was never the issue for Voracek, especially on the PP.
It's the rest of his game that fell short on a regular basis.
He has played a more physical and disciplined game under AV.
Sometimes you need a HC with a pedigree to get a star player to listen, or maybe turning 30 was a wake-up call.

Funny, Hayes is playing as well as these guys, yet he's a whipping boy for some around here.
And others who will defend G and Voracek to the death have trashed JVR.

Hayes, Voracek and JVR are similar in that they're talented offensive players who often have treated defense as an afterthought and don't play up to their size.

Which is why AV rides them - he sees three players who can raise their game a notch and become difference makers.

Problem is this year the rest of his game has slipped.
Since the COVID break:
CF 50.29%, CFrel -3.95, xGF 48.40%, xGFrel -4.09, HDCA/60: 11.65

He's been playing a little better lately, but hasn't improved as much as most of the team.
I think he looks a little slower this year. If only he had a consistent shot!

The guy who has been lights out is TK, but he sabotages his good play with mind farts and leaving early too often.
You don't want to throttle the enthusiasm, but you'd like to see him play a smarter game.
