Why wouldn't there be a lot of interest? He's a reclamation project, he's a big body, and he plays a power forward's game. That's like a GM's wet dream.
Take Sutter too.I could see Ottawa being interested. What’s the cost to acquire him?

when did Virtanen start using his body? Why wouldn't there be a lot of interest? He's a reclamation project, he's a big body, and he plays a power forward's game. That's like a GM's wet dream.
You mean Sutter, Loui, Roussel and Beagle for do it for you?interest in jv = water is wet
the only thing interesting is the statement canucks would prefer to keep. might be just for appearances but i'd rather we kept him.

If any team takes LE, it would be Vancouver paying them not the other way around.Take on LE and give us back a 3rd.
Sabres fan here, went to 2 Vancouver/Buffalo games here in Buffalo over the past year and a half, your description is exactly what I noticed as well.Man on man is there a misconception about Virtanen around the league. He was always billed as some great power forward but any Canuck fan will tell you he doesn’t play that style of game at all. Jake Virtanen does 2 things at a high level.
Skate well in a straight line and shoot the puck hard. That’s pretty much it.
I don’t hate the player but he is what he is, a middle 6 forward who doesn’t really use his god given tool effectively. As a Canuck fan I’d be happy with a couple of draft picks for him.
