It was certainly a treat for us Cubs fans to watch Arrieta at his peak.

He was a bad, bad boy back then. I don't think the Cubs win the World Series without him. Home/road didn't matter with the stuff he had.

7 million would be a lot for a guy who looked like he was cooked but really it's a one year deal. No big deal.

Either he sucks and the Cubs can cut bait next winter or he somehow bounces back and becomes a valuable trade chip and/or option to re-sign.

I just don't get how sign for 6 M. It's not bad at all but he is so cooked it's scream minor league contract.
