Not good. Hope he recovers

Former NHL coach Jacques Demers has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.

The gravity of the stroke is not known. He is 72 years old.

Demers also suffered a stroke on April 6 that was followed by three months of intensive rehabilitative therapy.

His recovery had progressed to the point that he was able to take part in a ceremony on Tuesday at the Bell Centre, a rare public appearance since his first stroke.

According to the latest news, he is conscious and doing "well", and his condition his stable.

His spouse said "Il va bien, il a subi quelques tests et tout porte à croire que ce n’est pas un AVC, mais plutôt une infection", meaning that tests have shown that it might not be a stroke but rather an infection. Hopefully it's true and that it's not a second stroke.

Yea. He was the coach when I first started following the team in the 80s. Guy was really entertaining and popular here. This is really sad, wish him and his family all the best.
