I don't think he will be, but it will be close. He should have the 7 accrued seasons needed to become UFA next summer, but it's not clear whether 2012-13 was an accrued season for him - presumably he would've had to have been on the roster for 23 games, but he only played in 22, so I'm not sure.

they have to select at least 20 guys that at least have a contract for 17-18. But they can select guys who don't have contracts as well because they have select one player from each team.
