Traded to the Angels after the 1988 season, Blyleven went 17-5 with a 2.73 ERA in 1989 at age 38. He retired in 1992 after 22 seasons, finishing with 3,701 strikeouts, 287 victories, 60 shutouts and 242 complete games. Blyleven was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2011.

... and then in 1978 to the Padres, where he won the NL Cy Young Award, going 21-6 during a season in which he turned 40 years old. He won his 300th game for Seattle in 1982 at age 43. Perry was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1991.
