Jack Johnson is really good. Its just after the Dowie/Johnson hit last year Canadian fans love to hate him. I do aswell.

Its sorta like how Bertuzzi was CONSTANTLY booed by the colorado fans (and in ever other area)

Yeah, but lets not put JJ in the Bertuzzi category. One grazing cheapshot is nowhere near as bad as what Bertuzzi did, ending a young player's career.

I booed Bertuzzi all the time. Even when I was outside his window while he shaved.

I thought JJ was very very good. Better than EJ actually, though EJ was better last year. Anybody who is objective is going to be impressed with him. He had one bad game and that's the Canada game where the USA got flattened. All that being said he did not dominate. He was not a men amongst boys. He's NHL ready, as a bottom pairing PP specialist on a normal team. And that's fine because defensemen take more time to develop and he's a stud, period.

both him and JJ and EJ in the end showed that they are the best two defensive prospects in the game right now.

i'm not sure what mental aspects he has problems with. Sounds like his main problems in this tourny were that he was trying to do too much, which won't be a problem in the NHL where he will fit in well with the competition.
For one, the guy is gung ho on offense and when I've watched him at Michigan and this tournament the guy won't take the simple plays. This causes him to make some bad turnovers.

He is extremely talented but he makes questionable decisions with the puck and pinches offensively too often.

Perhaps he pinches because he is greenlighted to do so? Notice these comments made by Jim Johannson in an interview with Kevin Allen:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/checking/2007-01-03-johannson_x.htm

In particular this part:

Los Angeles Kings prospect defenseman Jack Johnson scored some big goals for you. How do you assess his performance?

Johannson: Both he and (St. Louis Blues prospect) Erik Johnson played very well for us. Ronny asked them in this game against Canada not to lead the rush five-on-five. He wanted them to just defend and create offense on the power play. Maybe there were just a couple of times when they didn't do that, but mostly they did and they were excellent.

It seems to me that when the coaching staff asked both Johnsons to play conservatively, they did. I think the same goes for Red Berenson at Michigan.
