He's just a more talented, skilled player, pretty simple. It's evident when you watch them play. He's gotten the same or better results on a team with a lot less to work around the past season and a quarter. He has to do almost everything for Buffalo when they're scoring. Lug the puck into the zone, make the play, score the goal etc. He leads them in goals and assists and has an 11 point gap on next leading scorer on Buffalo. I'd say his elite skating ability is the biggest thing that separates him from Chef, who's great himself.

He's gotten better all around too, he's really broken out as one of the elite, elite players in the league.

To me he's closer to someone like Nathan MacKinnon than he is Mark Schifele.

This won't and shouldn't be close. GM Eichel wins this pretty easily. Now if we're comparing hairstyles then Scheif wins this hands down.

Jack is a freshly budding 23 year old superstar. Mark is a stud but Jack, who isn’t in his prime yet just gets better and better each season. The kid is going to be ridiculous over the next 10 years.

Which numbers? The last three years including this one, Eichel has 176 points in 168 games and Scheifele has 166 in 166 games.

Not close. I follow Jets most of any NHL teams, Scheifele is not particularly close to Eichel level. But Scheifele is on a much more reasonable contract too.
