What I do know is it will be the perfect opportunity for a few select posters here to finally have their way with a certain alumni who wore #12 during one of those 4 v 4 pond hockey games

The Beer Garden is also BYOB up to a 6 pack per person I really like that.

I did catch "Guests can enjoy complimentary parking next to The Park in our Silver Parking" so maybe its near the horse stables?

Something else to keep in mind when looking at the site - the footprint of the grandstand will be significantly smaller after they demolish the current one and build its replacement.

"First opened in 1905, Belmont Park was rebuilt in the 1960s and its current 1.25 million-square-foot grandstand, the largest in all of thoroughbred racing, opened in May 1968.

The project will demolish the aging structure and replace it with a building that’s less than a quarter of its size, around 275,000 square feet. That will also free up some parkland and allow for expansion of Belmont’s backyard, which had been truncated by the construction of the UBS Arena."

UBS Park is going up in the part of the Belmont Backyard closest to the arena.

Interesting, 4 years ago during the tours they gave during the arena construction the guide did make a point of saying their liquor license covers the plaza outside of the arena. Maybe NYAP had this on the drawing boards all along.

The park is mint. The Isles have outdone themselves. 2 rinks, fire pits, food trucks, tv production facilities, on and on….

I only wish it was daylight when I took my pics for a better view.
