The NYI would like to announce that they have traded for Mathieu Schnieder. Schnieder will add to the NYI a scoring (SC rating 81) defenceman who will also be on the powerplay. This is a nice addition to a team that has mainly defensive defenceman (avg 80 DF rating for 6 defenseman). Prospect Daniel Fernholm and some cash was also part of the trade. Going the other way was Teppo Numminen, NYI 1st, Chris Butler, and Bobby Goephert.
With this trade we are ready to compete with any team (including that team which has 6 or 7 franchise players & did not win the cup, and another team with a payroll that competes wth the New York Yankees payroll). Bring it on.
