Vanek/Grabs for Austria, Vis for Slovakia and JT for Canada are pretty much slam dunks.

I don't think Nabby makes it.

The real big question mark is KO, who I do think makes it. He's currently tied for third in points among Americans he's gotta be a legitimate contender.

Will Vis even be available by then ? His concussion seems like a Crosby type.

Team Ca has so many Options. Can anyone really be considered a Slam Dunk ?

JT is arguably the biggest name in the game in Canada behind Crosby, he'll definitely make it. He's also been excellent on the international stage his whole career, they'd be stupid to not take him.

Ugh I dont think so at all. Ovechkin 100% has that title. Even after him there are others I would put first like Datsyuk, Lunqvist, Malkin, Jagr to name a few.

article on nhl.com had these projections:

PROJECTED FORWARDS - CANADA
Chris Kunitz - Sidney Crosby - Matt Duchene
John Tavares - Jonathan Toews - Martin St. Louis
Jamie Benn - Ryan Getzlaf - Corey Perry
Patrick Sharp - Patrice Bergeron - Logan Couture
Eric Staal - Rick Nash

I suspect Stamkos will be there. Kid heals like Wolverine. There are players like Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Claude Giroux, even Milan Lucic had been invited - depending on what type of team Canada wants, they may choose other types over Tavares. Stranger things have happened.

But if anyone's watching, I don't see any forwards better than Tavares other than Crosby/Stamkos/Toews - if that.

USA
Zach Parise David Backes Patrick Kane
James van Riemsdyk Ryan Kesler Phil Kessel
Dustin Brown Joe Pavelski Ryan Callahan
Max Pacioretty Derek Stepan Bobby Ryan
Paul Stastny Alex Galchenyuk

I think Okposo should be on this team but it's hardly a lock. We shall see.

I don't know if I agree with it but there has been tons of speculation he'd be there just cause of how him and Crosby produce together.

That makes sense if thats the case.
you are trying to build a winner not a team of stars.

Chemistry would be important.
