I don't know about you, but Logan Cockerill is #22 in the rankings. Cockerill has established himself as a key player in a very strong Boston University team, playing alongside prospects like Jake Oettinger, Shane Bowers, and Dante Fabbro. With Brady Tkachuk de-committing, that certainly opens up some minutes at that LW spot for the Terriers, but the 5'9 Cockerill will need to wow NHL scouts with his skill to compensate if he hopes to have a stable NHL career.

John Stevens has been added to the poll with 1.5 (I'm counting the "I just realized we forgot John Stevens" post to break the tie) "add" votes. Other prospects receiving votes:

Song - 1
Hansson - 1
Hitchcock - 1

Another poll, another vote for Johnston tht I don’t quite understand

Pivonka, add noone

I'll take a guy who actually scored an NHL goal verses the potential of a guy who is being ranked at 22 among our prospects.

Okay so are these rankings based on where the player is at currently? Pretty sure that they are based on potential. If not Wahlstrom and Dobson should be below Johnston because he has actually played an NHL game.

Johnston is what he is

It has to be a combination of things. If we're just looking at potential then any good twelve year old has more potential than these guys because they haven't hit a ceiling yet. We're talking about guys who are so unlikely to make the NHL statistically speaking, so I'll take the guy who actually made it over the ones who have a .00001% chance of doing so, despite their potential being higher at the moment. I look at likelihood to contribute, how long until they contribute, and how good will they be if they contribute. At least that's how I view it.
