The Leafs were credited with 0 giveaways tonight against the Red Wings but it felt like they were turning over pucks all night as the Wings were all over them. Meanwhile Ericsson on the Red Wings had 4 giveaways alone. What gives?

I have a feeling that giveaways are unforced errors while turnovers are forced.

These two stats are completely subjective and incredibly inconsistent. They're not even worth thinking about.

Something to do with forced/unforced difference, but they're pretty poorly counted.

Leafs didn't have the puck long enough to give it away.

This is why real-time stats are terrible. Record of opinions.
