It's bizarre that anyone could buy into a generalization like that. There are 31 teams and they all draft from the same pool. The players themselves move from east to west and vice versa.

This whole concept is just plain dumb.

Johnny Gaudreau's existence does not automatically make the Flames a "small team".

I'm not arguing that the Jackets are small. Far from it. I'm just saying that pointing to a team's smallish leading scorer is a bad way of "proving" that a team lacks size. :)
