Is Tarasenko a future HOF?

I don't think so. To market himself to the HoF as a goalscorer he would at least need some kind of trophies to go with it. Really just about any major trophy, but it seems to be a stretch that he will get any at this point. The hall of good will have a spot for him though

He could be, but its way too early for this. He doesn't have any serious individual or team awards. Keep in mind, a guy like Alexander Mogilny currently isn't in, and he had a better or atleast comparable start to his career. Right now, he's a guy who needs to get in based on consistent longevity. If he starts winning cups or has a star burn as bright as Bure its a different story.

But guys, he's top 20 GPG in the playoffs (43 games). /s

Love Tarasenko, but's he got a lot of work to do if he's HOF bound.

perennial 30 goal scorer in the league, has a top 20 GPG in the playoffs all time. is he a future hall of famer?
Especially with how his career is going now - No! Not close to what I expect from a HOFer actually.

Yeah it’s an easy no with the way his career has gone so far and after last season it appears to be trending downward
“Trending downward” might be a bit of a stretch. He had a down season for sure, but he still had 66 points (33+33). The blues as a whole outside of that hot start struggled last year. He’s got probably the best group of players around him he’s had since he’s been here, so I expect a bounce back.

To the OP, as big of a Vlad fanboy I am, definitely not at this point in time.

350 points in 421 regular season games, no individual hardware and of course no cups. I don't even know why this is a question. He's going to have to put up some monster years moving forward and even if he does, he'll be hard pressed to win anything individual wise with McDavid in the league.

Yeah, at this rate if he makes it to 1000 games he'll end up with 800 points and change.

He averages (sans his rookie year) about 35 goals a year.

If he can sustain that average over another 10 years, it's 350 more goals to add to the 178 he has.

That would put him at 528, and that might just do it.

Question to OP is do you think he can average 35 goals a year over 10 more seasons?

Blues fan, love the guy, but there’s no way at the moment. Hall of Very Good? Sure.

I don’t think so, i believe he will dip under 30 after 31-32 years of age

Andreychuck made it so never say never.

Folks really need to take this kind of thing into consideration. Not everyone who makes the HHOF is some superstar with a ton of accomplishments.

If Tarasenko were to remain a 30 goal threat for a long time, he’d have a chance. The key is that consistency isn’t automatic, high scoring wingers just fall off the face of the earth on a pretty regular basis.

If HOF starts accepting players like Tarasenko and even Getzlaf as per another thread, then it should be renamed to hall of very good.
